Lucas was born David Helfman on April 21, 1937, in Buffalo, New York. ![]() In June 2011, Lucas was inducted into Buffalo's Music Hall of Fame. On the 1976 Blue Öyster Cult song " (Don't Fear) The Reaper" which he co-produced, Lucas sang backup vocals and came up with the idea for using a cowbell, parodied by Christopher Walken in the " More cowbell" skit on Saturday Night Live. He has written thousands of commercial jingles, such as AT&T's " Reach Out and Touch Someone." In 1981, he received a Clio Award for composing the music to Pepsi's " Catch That Pepsi Spirit." His current jailor has had men die under his care and Broderick is too important a prisoner for this to happen.īroderick is a conspirator against King Henry VIII and the Crown wants to get all of the information it can, including the names of fellow conspirators. Some of the petitions he and the local lawyers will resolve and others will need the King's ruling.Īrchbishop Cranmer, who assigned this task to Shardlake, also wants him to make sure that an important prisoner, Broderick, makes it to London alive. To this end, Matthew Shardlake is asked to assist locals with preparing petitions for the King. This is also a chance for the community to bring forth grievances to the King for royal judgment.
